Reviving the GYM project

Yesterday evening I resumed my program of visiting the Gym. The last visit was in November 2021, upon which the rise of the Omicron threat made me think this wasn’t such a smart idea. To be fair I could have gone back earlier but I didn’t feel I was up to the experience. Now that I have been back I realise how much better I feel for it. I should have gone back earlier!

The project was also driven by Holly, requesting to join the Gym herself and having spent out on buying the necessary clothing. The bank of Dad is assisting with membership bit but she bought all her own clothes.

We ended up spending three hours in the gym and did a lot of work. I felt it the next morning but not as bad as Holly. However she knows it will be beneficial for her in the long run.

  1. I went through Delta and Omicron without any adverse effects :-). At our age cardio is not the way to go. PT’s recommend a HIT program.

  2. Glad to hear you got through unscathed Jerry. OOOoooo, HITT, there are two sides to this. Yes it works, if you don’t blow your heart up. I guess it would work then also as you will certainly loose weight if you’re dead. I am mixing Cardio and weight work. I want general fitness and to loose some pounds. I was battling an extra stone, and now I have the “COVID Stone” on top to deal with. “Fat Dave” they should call me.
