Back to the plan to build an office in the back of my garage. So the immediate project plan is to get the ceiling up, install lighting wiring, install the insulation and fit a floor on top. This so I have somewhere to put stuff I want to store. Then I can clear the office zone of “stuff”.
So I need plasterboard and screws. Off to Wickes with MIL. Walking down the main drag through the store when MIL’s beady eye spots “Doors on Clearance”. Within five minutes a double skinned internal door and a door lining kit are in the trolley.
Five sheets of 1800 x 900 x 12.5 plasterboard and the large box of screws complete the haul.
Back to base and unload the truck. Then, with it getting late, its not worth start a job. So I started a job. I installed three LED flood lights as working lights, wired them up to a 13A plug. Now I can remove the original light in the area so to clear the joists for the ceiling to go in. There is more wiring to remove so that is a job for tomorrow.
Here’s the door, in place. Now imagine a wall…
