Some good news. After finding the number for the rack supplier I placed a call with them this afternoon. Turns out an administrative error had occurred. The rack was out of stock but internal communications failed. Sales thought it was dispatched, as we all know, it wasn’t. So a slightly different rack is on the way and should arrive tomorrow.
In order to be there to receive said rack I am working from home tomorrow, and why not use the new office? Therefore I needed to get the full network running. This required a wall mount shelf to be installed and the second router moved into position. Good news in that everything ran up first time.
All being well, tomorrow night will be busy.
