So running this site on the RPi3 proved problematic. So I have migrated again. This time I have dropped the SQL relational database for the faster, and less memory hungry, “MariaDB”. Additionally I have migrated off the RPi3 and onto an RPi4-2GB. A significant improvement.
Additional advantages are that the external Hard disk is now hooked in on USB3, which is a lot faster than the RPi3’s USB2. Also the RPi4 supports Gigabit Ethernet, whereas the RPi3 can only manage 100Megabit.
As usual it is running Ubuntu server 20.04.
Next I will return Holly’s website and see how it handles that.

That’s great stuff Dave. I must admit though that I did not observe any latencies to your site with the RPI3 powering it. Good work buddy!
The problem was I wanted to host another WordPress instance, and it ran out of RAM…
